It is Summertime (or darned close to it) and in Maine “VACATIONLAND”  is what is printed on our license plates!  

We are a four season state, with all the mountains, lakes, wildlife and ocean, if you want it, we got it!

One of our favorite clients is The Maine Tourism Association. MTA has a great mobile directory site and App for your phone, (Android) (Iphone) It is called “MyMaine” and though we have talked about it in this blog before,  it doesn’t hurt one bit to remind everyone, especially because it is FREE!

We have a lot of traditional tourism based clients as well as many other clients that enjoy the increase of business from more folks coming by their “place.”  MyMaine helps, a good website helps, Yelp.com, TripAdvisor helps.

Every little bit helps. You need your business to be where your current and potential clients look for you and you need to know what others are saying about you.

Have a remote location and cell service is sketchy?  Especially for those “from away”, (if you haven’t all ready), get some WIRELESS!  We wrote a post about that in July 2009.

Routers are cheap and you may see an increase in your business just from the locals!  The internet is a great way to share a video or settle even the most “brilliant” pub patron “discussions.”

People look for a way to stay connected with friends and work, they stay longer and visit more often!  Have a prosperous summer everyone and remind your customers of this app to make their stays convenient and at their finger tips!
