WordPress Plug-Ins: Our Toolbelt (Updated)

WordPress is one of those omnipresent forces around the internet – and with so many plug-ins and themes, it’s easy to understand why. According to the CodeInWP blog, there are about 15,886,000 sites running the Content Management System (CMS). If you were to try and visit each of those websites, spending exactly 1 minutes at each, it would take over three decades to finish browsing.

Does your app have a privacy policy?

Recently Google has been sending notifications out to app developers, with apps in the Google Play store, to notify them that starting March 15, 2017, all apps in the Google Play store will require a privacy policy.

Each year, domain name registrars send out an email asking about your WHOIS information. This is because a lot can happen in a year, especially when you own or operate a business. Maybe your business moved locations, or your phone number changed. Maybe a lot more significant changes took place. Your registrar cares about information that is relevant to your business and your website.

What is Two-Step Verification?

In short, two-step verification provides you with another layer of defense to protect your online account(s).

One-Step

Normally, when you sign-in to an online account you’re presented with a login screen. This screen is a form asking you to provide your credentials in the form of a username and password. Once filling in these requirements you’ll be able to click a login button and you’ll have access to your account. This was done in just one step.

Mobile Security – Android Edition

As we dive further into the holiday season, a time when many of us are busy catching up with friends and family, it is important to remember the little things. The way the snow drapes across the horizon can be especially frustrating at times, but it is also beautiful. Take some time to appreciate friends new and old; perform a random act of kindness for a stranger. Be a little selfish, too – enjoy a mug of hot cocoa, get cozy under your favorite blanket, and take some time to review the security options on your Android phone.
